The last several days have been a challenging time for all of us in Southern California. The loss of lives and the uprooting of our brothers and sisters is inconceivable. As we join together in prayer, we ask our Lord to continue to give us strength. We are reminded in Psalm 16:8 that our Lord is always with us:
“I keep the Lord always before me.
With him at my right hand, I shall never be shaken.”
Many of our families of students attending our Catholic Schools throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles have been tragically affected by the events of the last week. In partnership with Superintendent Paul Escala and the Department of Catholic Schools, the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) has established a Wildfires Catholic School Tuition Relief Fund to ensure that our students impacted by these events will be able to remain in our Catholic Schools.
I ask you to kindly consider a donation to this fund at this time. As families are addressing housing and other basic necessities, there must not be a concern to remain in our Catholic Schools.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Sincerely,
Doug Cooper
