Student Spotlight: Semaj Smith

The “Long Beach State Baby”, Semaj Smith, a 6-foot-6 graduate from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach, has committed to playing at University of Arizona for the 2018-2019 season. Coming off a No. 52 prospect rating in the ESPNW HoopGurlz Top 100, is excited that, though she is moving away, she is only 500 miles away from a visit back home.

With a GPA of 3.1 in her senior year and aspirations to major in Medicine, she plans on becoming an orthopedic surgeon. She was very adamant on looking for a team where she would get along with her new teammates. She states she wanted somewhere that could feel like home for the next four years.

As a CEF student for 3 years, both her extended St. Anthony’s family, along with all of us here at CEF, are extremely proud of her accomplishments and are praying for many blessings in her future career.

God is Good!
