Save our students (SOS)

- One of the most impactful elements of CEF is our Save Our Students (SOS) program. SOS was initiated in 1988 by Ruth and Richard Orford. They were firm believers in Catholic education and wanted to set up a program that would specifically help students who were considered more “at-risk” due to family or community circumstances such as:
  
  Homelessness
  
  Special needs
  
  Learning differences
  
  Incarcerated parent(s)
  
  Deceased parent(s)
  
  Foster Care/Non-Custodial Guardianship
  
  Trauma
  
  Afflicted with a Severe Illness
  
  The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation understands these children need stability in their lives and CEF’s SOS program enables them to have a Catholic school education, feel the presence of God in their daily lives and learn in a loving and supportive environment.
