Jim McFarlane

Before retiring, Jim McFarlane spent 40 years in the insurance and financial services industry. He most recently served as an Executive Advisor for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance and risk management services firm. The University of San Francisco alum remains involved in the industry, serving on multiple boards.

Jim and his wife, Alicia, have been parishioners at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Santa Barbara for over 25 years. Their two children, Kathryn and Patrick, have attended Catholic institutions including Mayfield Junior School, Immaculate Heart High School, Loyola High School and Santa Clara University.

When recently talking about joining the Board of Trustees, Jim stated, “I am excited to help the Catholic Education Foundation grow support in the Santa Barbara community.”
