Pomona Catholic High School '15

Jennifer

Meet Jennifer! Valedictorian of her class and a 2015 Gates Millennium Scholar, Jennifer is grateful for the well-rounded education she received from Catholic schools. Born to immigrant parents from Ecuador, she is the youngest of three girls. Education has always been a priority for Jennifer. She knew early on that she wanted to be an engineer and always supported her classmates’ interest in the STEM fields. As a sophomore, Jennifer created a math and science tutoring program at her high school. She also successfully petitioned to bring AP Physics and AP BC Calculus courses to Pomona Catholic High School. This fall Jennifer will begin her freshman year at the University of Southern California School of Engineering, an achievement that she says would not have been possible without support from CEF.
