On April 30, CEF students participating in the College Success Alumni Network (CSAN) program at Bishop Conaty – Our Lady of Loretto High School and Cantwell – Sacred Heart of Mary High School attended the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) College Fair at the Pasadena Convention Center. Workshops were offered to students including sessions covering different topics from selecting majors to writing personal statements. Students and parents were also given the chance to meet with admissions representatives from public and private colleges and universities in the United States and all over the world.
CEF’s CSAN Program Manager, Dulce Jauregui, coordinated the students’ attendance at this event and was on site with them during the half-day field trip. “While CSAN’s curriculum is designed to walk students through this process over the course of the academic year, I still think it’s important for them to be taking advantage of these opportunities because it exposes them to limitless possibilities,” she shared. Dulce is also currently planning two major events for CSAN students in the coming weeks, a High School Orientation on May 21 at Loyola Marymount University and the Transition to College Orientation for graduating seniors on June 4 at the University of Southern California.
