2015 Early Reader
Book Fair

June 2 & 4, 2015- CEF’s annual Early Reader Book Fair was held this week! Over 600 students from CEF supported elementary schools gathered at local Catholic high schools to participate in a day of reading and activities. The two day affair began at St. Pius X- St. Matthias High School in Downey, where students enjoyed story hour, carnival games and a photo booth. Children’s book author Ann Whitford Paul attended the event, reading two of her published works Count on Culebra and Manana Iguana. Day two of the book fair was held at Bishop Conaty- Our Lady of Loretto High School campus.

A special thank you to Cindy and John Smet for supporting our Early Reader Book Fair! Early childhood literacy plays a key role in determining a student’s future success. With the support of generous donors such as the Smet’s, CEF will continue to ensure our students have the tools they need to succeed!
